A collaborative project with my friend CAITLIN in my degree class in response to the ‘Platform for Joy’ brief set by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) for their 2019/20 competition. Our aim for this campaign was to use the train station as a literal platform to celebrate heroes in our community of Bristol. Acknowledging three figures in Bristol who were recognised by the mayor for going above and beyond in their community work, we designed certificates for them and took photographs to make our celebratory posters. We then branded this #BristolHeroes and created a digital presence as well as applying the work to areas that would work well within Bristol Temple Meads. We hoped this format could be used across the country to recognise outstanding people in local communities at train stations, places that 1,000s of people pass through every day.
